Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms and the Repair Safety Notice before using DIYFixAI. Our app provides AI-assisted informational guidance, not a substitute for trained, licensed professional judgment.
01 / Acceptance & eligibility
By accessing or using DIYFixAI (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and the Repair Safety Notice above. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is intended for adults 18 years of age or older. You agree to provide accurate account information and maintain the security of your credentials.
02 / Nature of the Service
DIYFixAI offers automated photo-based identification, troubleshooting suggestions, potential parts and tools, safety information, and links to external resources. Results are probabilistic, not guaranteed diagnoses. The Service does not inspect or verify your property, recognize every hazard, guarantee a repair or replace licensed professional services, product manuals, permits or regulatory inspections.
03 / Prohibited & dangerous use
You agree not to use the Service for unlawful activities, unsafe experimentation, bypassing safety devices, defeating guards or interlocks, or performing hazardous work without appropriate professional support. We may restrict or decline responses for safety reasons. Such restrictions do not mean other guidance is risk-free.
Examples of work to refer to a professional
- Electrical panels, service wiring, exposed energized circuits and utility connections
- Natural gas, propane piping, gas control valves and combustion/exhaust systems
- Load-bearing structures, foundations and major structural changes
- Garage-door torsion springs, cables or high-tension counterbalance mechanisms
- Vehicle airbags, braking systems, steering and other critical safety systems
- Asbestos, lead disturbance, refrigerant handling and unknown hazardous chemicals
- Pool electrical/bonding issues and other high-risk work near water
04 / Third-party resources, YouTube & shopping
We may display or link to YouTube videos, merchants, repair resources or other third-party sites. Those resources are controlled by their respective providers. A link is not an endorsement or guarantee of accuracy, suitability, safety, legality, seller reliability or part compatibility. Your dealings with third parties are governed by their own terms. We may receive referral or affiliate compensation where disclosed; any applicable disclosures should appear near qualifying links.
05 / User content & privacy
You are responsible for photographs, descriptions and other material you submit and must have the right to share them. Do not upload passwords, payment card numbers, sensitive personal records or other unnecessary private information. You authorize us and our service providers to process submitted content to operate, secure and improve the Service, subject to our published Privacy Policy and applicable law.
06 / Accounts, pricing & subscriptions
Some features may be free while others may require payment. Before purchase, we will disclose the current price, billing frequency, any trial conditions and how to cancel. If you subscribe, your plan renews according to the terms shown at checkout until canceled. Cancellation ends future renewals but generally does not retroactively reverse charges already incurred, except where required by law or stated at checkout. Billing and refunds are subject to the checkout terms and applicable consumer law.
07 / Accuracy & no warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and all output are offered “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted access, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that any repair suggestion is appropriate for your situation or that using it will avoid injury or damage. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain disclaimers; those rules continue to apply.
08 / Assumption of risk & liability
You acknowledge that physically performing repairs has inherent risks and that you are responsible for deciding whether to hire a qualified professional. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DIYFixAI and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability imposed by applicable consumer-protection law or for conduct for which a waiver is unenforceable.
09 / Intellectual property & acceptable use
The Service’s branding, design, software and original content are owned by or licensed to its operator. You may use the Service for lawful personal or authorized business purposes, but you may not scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with, resell unauthorized access to, or misuse the Service, except as permitted by law.
10 / Service changes & termination
We may update, suspend or discontinue features and may suspend accounts for abuse, security incidents or violations of these Terms. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated as required by law and will take effect prospectively, subject to applicable law. You should preserve any information you need before closing your account.
11 / Texas law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by Texas law to the extent it is applicable and not overridden by mandatory consumer protections. Courts with proper jurisdiction in Texas may hear disputes, subject to applicable law. This clause does not require arbitration or waive rights to bring claims in court.
